Dressing up as a teacher is a fun way to connect with your students. For some, it’s a headache and for others, they live for it. Regardless of what category you fall under, I’m here to give you some easy teacher costume ideas that are cheap and easy. I had a lot of fun with this blog because I felt like a stylist. I rounded up some of my favorite costume ideas and then actually “shopped” that look finding easy ways that you can execute the look for the cheap. Also, if you’re like me, I have a horrible habit of being so deep into content and teaching that I don’t think about the holiday party until the week of. So if you’re reading this and you have 3 days to find a costume, I gotchu girl.

What I love about this Halloween teacher costume idea is that it is an easy DIY for my crafter teacher friends out there! All you have to do is get some felt in different colors and have you or your students create the suns, stars, and planets, then hot glue onto a blue dress.
Some of you know how easy of a DIY this is but also know you don’t have time to DIY. Thank God for Amazon Prime! I found a similar one that you can prime that looks like this:

This costume looks great, especially if you want to be warm and comfortable in your costume! I live in the midwest and my school parades around the neighborhood in our costumes and if it’s cold we freeeze! This costume is big enough to wear a black hoodie underneath. I love this book, so maybe I’m biased but, how fun is this?! I found face paint that you could you to just paint your face/body or throw on some easy rainbow striped leggings and call it a day! Lol, just think about driving straight home and not running errands if you decide to go full face. But, if you do your whole face, your kids will never forget it!

I am kinda loving this easy and fun teacher costume idea, because you can make it super easy by wearing the grammar police shirt and some aviator sunglasses, or accessorize this police costume up to your heart’s desire. Have fun with this one!

I’m obsessed with ColorMeCourtney’s Instagram. It really is so colorful, and she definitely doesn’t disappoint with this snow white costume idea. It’s perfect for teachers because who doesn’t want a princess as a teacher?!
